A blog is an excellent way to develop a connection with the community, expand your network, and gives potential clients gives some background into your thinking, values, and style. I think on of the greatest benefits is that it’s a way of staying present in the mind of your clients, prospects, and industry associates. Most marketing is ignored these days. If you provide value and have permission to talk with someone (thru opt-in views or RSS syndication) there is much less resistance to your message and the new prospects that you receive will often have pre-qualified themselves. If you’re an expert, you can use a blog to share information that is useful within your community. The target market that is interested in what you have to say as an expert are often same ones who need your products or services. Even if they’re not the end-user or decision maker they often can influence that person. Just don’t start a blog if it’s something that you aren’t committed to doing long-term.
Should you start a blog?
